My collection started with found metal and glass pieces to create lamps. I was inspired by my father’s career as an industrial parts salesman, and utilized his collection of parts, including tools to clean boilers.

As an artist, I found his parts quite interesting, and after his passing I decided to celebrate his life by giving them a new purpose. The first generation of lamps were created from his metal pieces and lamp parts found at flea markets. After assembling a nice display for my home, I was encouraged by many a friend to create more. For the past three years, I have collected many pieces of metal and glass to add to my father’s collection. I thoroughly enjoy finding old, lost items and re-purposing them for unintended use.
